What Game Licence???

 

The Game Licence used to be sold at Post Offices and to Shoot used to cost £6.

 

The Game Licence to shoot and to sell was abolished in England and Wales in 2007!!

 

May still be applicable in Scotland/NI... Not sure!!!

there's a General Lisence issued by the seretary of state each year, to shoot the pest species, but I think game birds are covered under that when their open seasons are,

sorry not been on for a few days it just kept on says drive error, well back to the post i have a sgc and i am wanting to shoot game but a dont really want to shoot game just incase a lose me licence so thanks for all the replys

As Deker states, you dont need a game licence to shoot game - you just need permission

so if a ask the farmer to shoot game a can shoot game if he gives me the permission to do, so [bANNED TEXT] would happen if the police stops me on the way home

I'm not sure what you are getting at, but if you still have concerns about the Game Licence have a look here, this is the Order!

You could always print it out, carry it with you and show the nice policeman if he asks.

Aykley Heads Police HQ Durham you pick them up from there.

 

I'm getting really confused, just what is it he can pick up from this Police HQ?

 

Are you talking about FAC/SGC application forms??

You need to be the Landowner or have Express Permission from the Landowner or his authorised agent to shoot Game.

 

There are still rules and seasons, you need to be aware of these!

 

The Police could stop you at any time and check you, car, guns etc, but you do not need a Game Licence in England or Wales any more!

just be sure your land owner has not sold the game rights to a syndicate,or anything,as can happen,just because he has the land,does not allways have the game rights,or so i have been told,when i was asking about it,cheers,ian
