gundogbob 1 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 hi one of my hobs keeps kicking his bedding out every time i put extra straw even tried hay and shreded paper in trying to keep him warm why is he doing this is it because he is to warm even in these low tempretures what else can i do for him many thanks Quote Link to post
johnmac666 2 Posted January 10, 2010 Report Share Posted January 10, 2010 (edited) hi one of my hobs keeps kicking his bedding out every time i put extra straw even tried hay and shreded paper in trying to keep him warm why is he doing this is it because he is to warm even in these low tempretures what else can i do for him many thanks my hob has been doing this also , i think you have answered your own question, he is too hot thats why he is kicking bedding out, tough little fekers they are,i just do 4 hour checks on them throughout the day & last thing at night (11pmish) change water bottles check they are warm & snug ,mine has kicked all paper out & made a cracking little nest with two towels & a sleeve off a wooly jumper, he just cliimbs in the sleeve pulls the towel over the nest opening & goes to sleep, my jill has been in seperate box since last night as he is giving her a hard time again ( he is in season )she has kicked out paper & straw also, but is nice & snug & warm, thermometer ;last night was showing -1 not too bad & water bottles didnt freeze for 1 st time in 2 weeks, he should be fine if you are worried he is cold ,just put more bedding in & hope he doesnt kick it out again lol regards john Edited January 10, 2010 by johnmac666 Quote Link to post
