Hannah4181 260
And avoid any electric fences! She'll get over it, lots of positive experiences in the field, easy catches, confidence building, lots of praise, games and fun and as i've said stick well clear of electric fences. Geoff.C 0
I wouldn't call her career over, don't give up like that. As Topper says, take your time, don't put any pressure on and she will gain her confidence back. Try to work away from any electric fences, you know what a belt they can give. I would imagine it would be worse for a lightly built dog. I hate the things, (electric fences, not dogs)they are all round my permission, I once got such a shock when my gun barrel touched one, that I involuntarily threw the gun about 10 feet and scrapped the scope. flyboy 11
the reason for thinkin like that is my cousin had dearhoundxghound bitch that was very good on long ears two years ago ,the bitch again like my bitch got a few bangs from wire and would not even run after a long ear or anything else for that matter she would be grand walkin the road on a lead but when she went into a field it was a shame what the wire did to her ,thanks Quote Link to post
