tomburras 2,730 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Share Posted January 9, 2010 when me and my mate was out ferreting during the last few days we saw lots of red urine patches in the snow around their holes. we have seen one mixy rabbit on there lately. does anyone have an idea why this is? I breed rabbits, am studying wildlife biology and have done a presentation on the european wild rabbit . there urine tends to be red/ pink colour this includes the bucks. rabbits dont come in to heat like dogs or ferrets. mating induces ovulation. good lad! Have always thought that their diet and water intake has had a fair bit to do with the colour. Quote Link to post
