hi macca i hope your pups do well as i am sure they will in the right hands, i would love one for myself but having the two young dogs i already have would mean i probably wouldnt be able to do another pup justice, your pups breeding would have fitted in great in my kennels, i have always wanted to breed some 3/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound pups,of my own worker to worker, please keep in touch over the next few weeks and if there is a bitch, i am very tempted to buy one.

RIOHOG, thanks for the kind comment mate, i hope all is going well with your dogs, for you, you know there seem to be a good bunch of lads on here with some good salukis, pity things werent different so we could all meet up for a run regular,

SHADDOW, i will try to contact you, by pm, to let you know how

she is doing, i hope all is well for you

"TEPE DE GAWRA/ IS THAT D,G,s BRIGORN?? IS THE LUSAKA BLOODLINE STILL GOING?? BY THE WAY THOSE PUPS ARE LOVELY"

Yes D.G"s "Bregawn" was from Tepe Gawra lines. Tepe Gawra was an ancient city in the Middle East and John Birched who lived out there for many years used it as his affix.

The full story and info/pictures of the foundation dogs can be seen here

http://saluqi.home.netcom.com/

Gail Goodman imported a dog pup from Sweden "Durak" and Geoff Spurr imported a bitch and lined it with one of his dogs that was running well with the saluki cc. Non of the saluki lot were wanted one of these "corse" desert bred hounds, they were more interested in fluffy show things than performace  D.G got Bregawn and Angie also came from this litter who was mated to Balleyregan Bob to produce Beany.

Durak also sired a litter and a dog out of this union "Farrah" was used by Vance P over his kizzyx pharo bitch "Vances Girl". He kept a dog (Ash) and a bitch "Abbey" both good single handed coursing dogs.

Ash is the farther to Khan. The T.G strain is still going strong with John in America.

The lusaki strain is still going but not the dogs they were.

That was K.T.'s dog wasn't it huggy, J.L. told me it was the best saluki dog he'd seen but he died before I got over to see him. My pal bought a pup out of Khan and the daughter of J.L.'s Star on the strength of it and he's taken hares in all types of ground so I arranged for a mating to my old Willow bitch and that's where my two pups I'm raising now came from. When I sort out my technical problems I'll get some pics up.
