im thinking of getting aw whippet gray X saluki gray pup to be my ferreting pal and may do a bit of lamping anyone got this cross

iv grew up with dogs she will be my first lurcher anyone got any pics and are thay a good choice for a ferreting dog ?

best ferreting dog av seen was a collie blooded lurcher..easy to train an good at the job! treated it as a game an scooped up an unbelievable number of bolted coneys!! am sure others will disagree ! but all the best in your choice mate ..cheers..chris.

Great looking dogs!,I have a whippet/greyhound/wheaton-grayhound bull, but do wish she was saluki geayhound instead of the wheaton-bull for the extra stamina and speed.keep us updated with what you decide on.

here is my saluki whippet gryhound with a tiny bit of bull she has only been ferreting a few times she is getting better but there is better dogs for ferreting but she has made a decent allrounder good stamina,nose,speed andquite brainy too

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER.mothers breeding is salukie/grey x whippet/grey collie,then mated mother to a whippet /greyhound both doing well at their job.mothers the white one.

im not convinced that the will make the best ferreting dog at all mate but its each to their own,i personally would use a collie whippet grey or a beddy whippet grey.something along those lines but anyway thats upto you,heres a saluki grey-whippet grey that my mate had.he had to get rid before he did anything with it thow because he moved abroad after some family bother and never got chance to run it,this dog was sold on here but i havnt herd owt about it sinceit was a dog called copper.atvb with your pup.
