distemper jabs for ferrets

title says it all really do you guys get jabs for your ferrets or is this another way of vets geting cash

never had it done never needed to , had ferrets since i was 5 "and iam 32 now" no problems with distemper , tell your vet to jog on and keep your money in your pocket mate , atb Fezz

if you have read it in a book, check the author, probably a yank as they like to do it

i have it done when its on offer every jan at the vets, 10 quid a dog is the offer and they will do 2 hobs or 3 jills for that.

There is no such thing as a distemper jab for ferrets, it is all manufactured for dogs/cats and as such should only be used for its intended purpose.

 

As a rescue we have rescued/rehomed over 1500 ferrets now and never had a problem with distemper.

 

Just another money grabbing vet.

Keep ferrets for 40 years never bothered with distemer jab know some one who did have one jabbed killed it
