the_stig 6,614 Posted January 9, 2010 Report Share Posted January 9, 2010 photo is a delbar cock 52 this pigeon won many prizes racing for me and over £3,000 at distances races flew 530 miles three times on the day of liberations and 568 miles onces on the day also had many wins in show pen so was not just a good racers but never bred many good pigeons from this pigeon but is grand children have raced ok for me and others . had delbars way back bred down from kingpin ... had birds direct from alf baker . last lot i had where cattryse in the 80s .. also had black gurneys for showing ... the_stig 6,614 Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) lost touch with the racing game , get loads of offers of young birds from lads i know - might have another crack at it one day won my 1st race in 1972 with a stray yearling cock that i had transferred racing from an over sized rabbit hutch .. i had the back 6 x 9 ft of my old mans garage sectioned off with a bob hole and a landing board had loads of winners from this make shift set up . put a loft up never had a winner for 3 year ..
