Anyone else had a problem with ferrets meat freezing

its bloody colder than we think two nights ago it got down to -14 and -10 last night and its lookin that way again tonite bloody freezing even the dry food is freezing i can turn the bowl upside down and it just stays stuck in there, ohh well at least its good for developing jaw muscles ehh

I had a game getting the shavings up off the floor there froze on as well i snapped me dustpan as well

Need to get organized and get a metal scrapper and a small coal shovel for cleaning out the ferrets

i have still got a rabbit which i took out of hutches 3 days ago frozen in the shed ,have been giving them small amounts of meat at night & warm water & dried in a morning, they seem to be coping quite well with the cold spells,i gave them extra bedding & they kicked it back out of the sleeping box, ,every time i clean crap corner out its been frozen which is an easy job to clean, i use a plasterers trowel to scoop the poop, even my cleaning cloths have froze like a block, i have thermometer in hutches & was showing -9 last night,but they are nice n snug in there nest box, they have got nice thick winter coats, makes me think they know something that we dont

I give mine a tub of Ben and Jerrys when the weathers this cold so freezing isn't a issue.....................hope that helps.

my ferrets are now in the shed and there is a oil filted rad in there on very low just to take the chill out the air food dont feeze then kay keep em in your house lol

I cant keep them in the house i dont have a cage for indoors & the dogs would kill them if they got out

Mine are both fed on Pets at home ferret biscuits. Goes down well in this weather. Plus my ferrets dont let it sit for long enough to let it freeze!! lol
