well lad's

got a phone call from my father yesterday saying he had just shot a fox at the back of his house in the middle of the day , and he said there was another one that ran off when he shot the first one (no mod on the rifle) so he ask me would i call out last night to have alook as he made out they were stalking his table duck,(never!!) i rang danny to go and lamp for me, landed out about 9.30 got ready and i said to the old man you shoot the near ones i shoot the far out ones lol as he half blind i think lol ,after about a half ahour danny got a flick of eyes about 100 yrds out but kept looking but no way would it show again so we walk up a hill to see could the height of ground help us to get another look at the shy eyed fox,

 

light on, right there he was at about 50 yrds he looked up and flat out down the field never stopped, lol i said to me old man i take him so i layed down lamp off i said and got ready i know this land well i knew he show by the railway track,light on again i ranged the track and it was 260 odd yrds, still no sign of the fox but i told danny he show there and to kept looking,after about 3 mins danny said there he is as he got a quick flick of eyes again, i found him in my scope as he walk away he was not up where i had ranged so i knew he was less than 260yrds and also shooting down hill i need to account for, with one loud bark from me the fox stopped and wheeled about i just stuck the cross hair on him for a heart/lung shot bang!!! tut!!! he fell,

 

it was a fine dog fox my shot placement was fine just where i wanted it, me old man was over the moon he was got but he would have liked to have shot it himself but he knew he never do out that far, hes abit of a 100yrds shots only man,still as cold as it was last night when we were moving it was fine night to be out, as we walked back to the house we never see any sign of anything eles,so it was time for the tea,lol

so that was last night story i was happy to get out as i have not being out in a long time,

so thanks to danny for lamping for us,
