I think all of the people on this thread need to grow up and give the lad a break, seems everyone is just jumping on the bandwagon and giving him grief, its so petty. So what if he breeds dogs, why does that make all of you lot climb onto your high horse and slate him down. You are a bunch of sad feckers with nothing better to discuss. It is really pathetic. Just saying what I see.

whipXgrey these young lads are not listening and certainly not learning, contradicting what they have earlier said in posts  making claims about their dogs and how long they have had them, last year it was all about the greyhounds they had, now its whippets from very good lines that they cant remember exactly what  Can you name your present and past dogs breeding? be surprised if you cant as any dog man would.

I've been around whippets since the 50's the old man showed them we worked them and yes we thought they were world beaters as we had a Foyles Whippet book and they fitted the breed standard perfectly as we read it  but we listened and learned and saw where we were going wrong and sought advice from more experienced owners and breeders and improved our lot  these lads ones 22 the author 14 are giving out IMHO bad advice and breeding from very poor stock which is doing the breed not a jot of good,Would you yourself take a pup from them?

well said!!!!!!!!!!

by not telling them where they are going wrong or pointing out to potential buyers we are in fact preventing puppy peddling and looking out for the welfare of dogs in general

if i thought for 1 sec either would listen i would help , but by attitude shown they are not prepared to listen and know everything so why should i bother giving my time or knowledge to those whom dont want it

its just that mallys old bitch 21inch 35lb,,,,to my 28lber,,,27lb when racing,,,roughly same size,,,but 8/7lb diffrence,,,,in them,,,i thought wow thats quite alot 25% diffrence in weight,,,, between a ped and a non ped,,,,,,( it might be a splash off grey going threw the non peds,,makes the taller,,than the peds,,,( i thought a 1st peds might be heavier boned,,,not to sure )

i think it was intresting to see the weight diffrence ,,,,in ped and non ped,,,looks like their even more apart than i previouly thought

Me thinks Mally has lost the first inch off his tape measure!!:thumbs:

Whats that supposed to feckin mean. Jess was 21" and Vixen is 20" (just measured her) anyone who's seen vixen will confirm her size...

4 posts mate have you come on just to cause trouble??? have you ever seen any of my dogs in the flesh???

Corrr one question at a time!!!!!!

Firstly i have met you,(At the midland i think) but not Vixen.I also met a couple at a Lure courseing avent(In Somerset) last summer who had a dog that you bred (by god did he run well).I'm sorry i can't remember names but i can remember that the dog was 20"tts,I only remember this as i wish now i had swopped details with them incase they let him out to stud.....Anyway...I have asked about and out of the few i've asked, most do seem to think she'd be a LARGE 20" tts!!!!.

I have noticed on your web site that your bitch has had trials behind the lure, but she doesn't seem to race.............Does she have a passport???

Atleast have the decency to answer me then, Mally!!!!

Your silence speaks volumes..............My guess is.....She doesn't fit under a wicket (shes over 21")thats why shes only been trialed behind the lure and shes only been shown at lurcher shows!.

First thing first you seem to know alot about my bitch vixen and you ask has she got a racing passport as there are photo's of her behind a lure. If you can read you would also see that the photo's were taken at the lure coursing demonstration at the great yorkshire show. You don't need a passport to run in lurecoursing. I don't race vixen, she's a working dog.

Secondly i am willing to meet you and your tape measure anytime. We'll measure the bitch then go and run a few rabbits on mutual ground. Vixen has been measured several times at shows and she measures 20". What benefit would i get out of lying about her size as she doesn't race, that doesn't interest me in the slightest. If she was 21" i'd say she was 21". If she didn't work i would never claim she did work, unlike alot of people on this and other forums.

Recently there have been alot of folk having a pop at me on the forums, i say let them get on with it. I never claim my dogs to do things they actually can't do. A spade is a spade with me and i tell it how it actually is. Most of it is down to jealousy i'm affraid as i don't just tell folk my dog works i post photo's of her actually working. At the end of the day i'm happy with her and her abilities and surely thats all that matters.

Please remember to get in touch regarding measuring Vixen and bring your dog and lamp and we'll make a night of it...

I find it totally baffling that you are commenting on vixens size when you havn't actually seen her in the flesh, your just taking other folks word for it. Well i'm affraid you will be eating a bit of humble pie mate, when you meet up with us to measure her. Thats if you do get in touch with me to meet up.

well i just sat and red 10 pages of mainly crap and slagging off as usal with regards to the same whippet related arguments

my oppinion is if you want a dog of 22/23 inches you will probable be better off with a lurcher from a good working strain

but if you want a small fast dog a whippet is for you i dont think buy breeding whippets bigger they gain any thing realy but lose early pace and turing abbility when compaired to the smaller type the only time a bigger whippet will have the advantage is in high grass

:clapper: :clapper: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Totally agree with you Derbypoacher

Mally,The only reason i've been following your posts/reports of your outings with Vixen is that you were making noises about breeding from her,I was very interested in contacting you about a future purchase (maybe). So i did the next best thing apart from meeting you both and read you posts on here and on another forum (where you have become abit of a hero with the females lol)!........

WOW........After my research it seems i did the right thing and not contact you about your future plans as lots of your History doesn't add up,Are you not the same Mally that put up a post on another forum dated Friday July 25th 2008 saying that you may have a serious stomach condition and wouldn't be able to exercise your dogs and would anybody in the Nottingham area be able to come around and walk your dogs for you as you were too ill? Only to find that you went out with your dogs on the beach for "a long walk" less than a week later (You must be a "superman" to turn your health around in such a short amount of time.

I really could go on with more stories from the book of "Mallys stories" but i understand your short of time (as i am myself).

Now all i will say i'd be more than willing to meet up with you,Just let me get sorted out and i'll drop you a pm,Thanks for the invite.

Just remember...................to be a good liar you need a good memory!!!
