bulldog tools gone bust

anyone hear bulldog tool company have gone into liquidation?I am trying to source bulldog shovels in Ireland but am coming to the conclusion theyre not stocked anywhere.I have spoken to a supplier in carlow but hes out of them at the moment.Are theyre any alternative makes that can take the punishment but with a big shovel head like the bulldog?A mate in the north of ireland was speaking to a hardware merchant and he told my mate they have stoped doing buisness,anyone hear the same?

yeah bedrock was on this site today.I was hoping i wouldnt havee to buy from across the pond but it seems theres only 1 trader of the bulldog product in Ireland southern end.Which shovel do you use?

Last time i went past the factory (few days ago) it was still open and running,

theres also plenty of sites if you google that sell them, and diliver.

I can only speak for spear and jackson in sheffield that is sacking 65 of their staff that makes hand tools and moveing to china for cheap labour costs

i didnt post 2 sites, just posted the link to the stockest's in N.ireland,

if you look on the list at the side it shows the shovels and other tools there.

 

I dont think you can buy direct from the factory, we used to be able at one time,

but they wont do it now.

The old Bulldog factory was in Wigan, dunno if it's still there. Maybe anyone on here from 'the land of the pies' could help?

Im a buyer for an agricultural company, and we deal with bulldog, I havent heard anything but them going bust.
