wild dog 9
The thing that springs to mind in this debate is..............WHY?Why would you chose this type of cross against some of the proven type crosses, (eg Saluki/grey, collie/grey,whippet) Is it simply a case of looking for the next wonder dog?, the concern is that say after looking at this thread somebody gos off and breeds a set of these GSD cross pup, when they then find that they are useless when put up against some of the more proven types, hey presto.........more candidates for the dogs home! JOEB JOEB you might be right but may be people said why when some one first x a collie with grayhound Quote Link to post

colliejohn 840
my goodfriend typp ratcher has just bred a litter of gsd xgreyhound, resulting in seven pups they are just a couple of days old at the moment,he has used his excellent dog solo gsd x greyhound over his greyhound bitch,so they should be big and racey this cross excels at big stuff, and they are very obedient.if anyone is interested in this litter you can pm me.regards collie john. Squirrel_Basher 17,100
The first cross I know of was very easy to train ,almost to field trial ,gun dog style. It was very puppyish for a long time ,almost 2 1/2 years before it settled down .Takes deer in open fields with style and ease .Once saw it clear a very wide ditch on a course and gained twenty yards in doing so .The urge to guard is strong ,with all family members .Its nose is first class and is a 100% marker to a fox .The feet are large and not double toed .The coat is harsh and needs grooming .The down side to it is that its not mine :11: Quote Link to post

shotup 9
simoman mine really is a big fecker full of muscle will put the shits up anyone his front legs are thicher than my forearms, infact he has as much power if not more than a rotty and can run a lot faster because of his good long back.you wouldnt touch a kc bred shepard once you have seen these imports.have you seen the pics of kc champions they are so roached backed that they have them allmost kneeling down for the judge because of the angulation of the pelvic bones bred to please the judges eye.if i was judgeing i would honestly boot the dogs and owner up the arse for fetching such shite into a ring.but its the temperment of mine that is 100 percent trustworthy with anything. J Darcy 5,871
Hi guys, one of my good friends owns one. It is a line bred 2nd or 3rd generation cross and it is a fair dog. I know it has taken fallow single handed and will not spew when faced with critters that bite back. I feel that the GSD used must be a solid built, non-show type, with a good, racy figure, not the sort of shit you see with sloping backs and associated problems. MY friends dog is a good rabbiter but i hear it is a bit "tasty" with people it doesnt know. This dog isnt a one off, the line throws some good dogs, all good grafters on all quarry. Of course, im not insinuating that they will be good daytime hare dogs, but for the majority of us, they would be suffice. good hunting chaps................... :thumbs-up: Quote Link to post

Hi Willy, Yes the clip showed malis with the Dutch police, did you see the end of the clip where the dog latches onto its own handler I've been running manwork classes/courses since 1997, instructing service/security/sport/ dog handlers and after seeing various breeds and hundreds of dogs a well bred (this is soooo important) GSD is IMO the best manwork dog.
