I use NFU but have been told Tesco and M&S are also good. I simply wouldn't not have insurance now, all my 3 have used it at some point. My bitch was given an MRI scan at Newmarket a few months ago, the scan was the last in a long line of tests and that alone was £1100 . . . . . her final bill totaled £3400, it cost me £40 i think the excess was! It is such a weight of your mind when you go into a vets and can basically give them free rein to do as they please, knowing you won't be responsible for the bill. :notworthy: :notworthy:

If you can afford to smoke, drink beer etc.... then you can afford to insure your dogs. They are all very cheap.

Last year my red dog that passed away without the insurance would of cost me £1900, i only paid out £100. Cant moan about that.

Its well worth it to those of us that work our dogs as it will also cover you for public liability too.

Insurance is a definate yes. Ours are with M&S.

Ongoing claim at the moment for one (received 2 payments for operations and treatment so far) just under £1000 but will go higher as now having weekly hydrotherapy. £70 excess

Wife just taken other dog to the vets for more tests (had some just before Christmas) and will put claim in afterwards.

For what insurance costs (think ours are about £120 year each)compared to how much vets and treatment costs, crazy not too have it.
