harrycatcat 31
This is a description of a car that I have seen. My question is what implications are there of buying a car not hpi clear, and would you get it insured again. Does anyone know?? What does vic checked mean. If I bought this car I would no doubt keep it for a minimum of 7 to 10 years as I hate changing cars, would this make a difference to your response? Only 16k, 1 previous owner, Cairns Blue/creame leather and privacy glass. 12 Months MOT/6 Months Tax. Just had 1st service in oct 09. Full vogue spec inc heated f/r seats and steering wheel, heated f/r screens and mirrors. Sat Nav, Tv, Dvd, Cd changer, Reverse camera Ect Ect. Sadly not HPI clear as it suffered flood damage in the past but fully repaired and vic checked by vosa!

mike1458 14
vehicle identity check: The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) carries out the VIC. It’s designed to confirm the car’s identity and help ensure that the genuine car is returned to the road HPI: http://www.hpicheck.com/ Basically you need to pay a bit of money to say that it is officially fixed. Nik_B 3,790
It will tell you if the car still has finance on it. When I was young I sold a car that I still owed money on, I was paying it off monthly. The new owner crashed it but then found they couldn't claim on the insurance. boyo 1,398
basically all a vic test tells you is that the car is the one connected to your paperwork or not the right car . normally need one if the car is insurance loss or not had paperwork after insurance claim doesnt really tell you if the car has been properly repaired or not hpi will tell you if theres finance owing or if it has been in a accident hope this helps.
