I bought it for when I'm on the bike, he's dragged me off once or twice when on the rope so at least with this I can extend the length of it when I need to...Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!!

If I let him off the lead he starts working straight away and I don't like having him on a short leash all the time so it was that or leave him at home.

my deerhound greyhound caught his first daytime deer(pre ban) in the snow and ice.i was only taking him for a piss though,wouldn't normally take them out when there's ice,there's no give in the soil.

the problem is i almost broke my neck getting to him!!

not a good idea to run on the frost..we tryed it the other day while out ferreting and the rabbit ran out on to water which had frozen in the midde of the field with the dog on its tail and the rabbit turned on it and the dogs just wasnt able and fell and went sliding across the ice, he was lucky he didnt break him self up, he was none the worse but could of been a different story..

our big saluki has been out of action with an infected toe, so h has been out of action anyway but a couple of my lads mates are regretting running their dogs after a night out last week both dogs have ligament damage. so i would say no unless they have trainers on ;0)

I was assured by the team at ACES that a leather harness was a 'MUST' for :db: weight pulling :db: and also very useful for controlling 'Feisty' animals on the 'V' frame?

I'm not mad, just REALLY Bored! still it was fun whilst it lasted.

 

No Joke fella, I totally agree with you! All my dogs are just pets. When they give me some sport/food or do a Removal job for a Farmer then that's just a bonus! Hopefully the pup will be able to help out where she can. She's doing well, currently at about 20"tts and 35lbs.
