danebrewer10 6
Hi there, you will probably be best off with dropping the rifle into a free floated and properly bedded synthetic stock from someone like Bell & Carlson H-S Precision or McMillan as the flimsy factory stock isn't free floated with the weight of the barrel, here's a review on the Snipers Hide website where they do just that and it makes quite an improvement, I'd suggest you try that first and then go from there! coldweld 65
Ammo change will NOT turn a bad rifle in to a supper accurate rifle !! It will improve a with grouping but it won't turn a pigs ear int a silk purse . A good trigger and a good stock will do alot more than different ammo inc reloading [ i have rolled my own for over 10 years ] Buy the best trigger you can afford i would only buy jewel or jacksons CG Stocks well its up to you but my choice would be h&s precision or Bell & Carlson with ali internals Quote Link to post
provarmint 25
Fit your new trigger,(Jewell are better) get a good gunsmith to re-crown your barrel, home load and do your bit you will be shooting sub MOA in no time. Quote Link to post
coldweld 65
Not if the stock is the same as the jelly stock on my mod 7. It would group of a sand bag , climb off a bipod not group if i used the sling or throw random groups of hard rests. One H&S precision stock later i now have a rifle that groups 9mm at 100m off everything. Quote Link to post
jamie g 17
Deker: I gave it a good clean inside and out when i brought it and a good clean with patches and cleaner before i put it away. Ill pop to my local shop for a few more diff types of ammo for it see how it goes when i get the trigger kit. I may just sell the bits on ebay that i take off see if anyone buys them. Jamie: as for geting the H&S stock, thats way too far out of my budget for a stock, id rather pay 150 for it including bedding than 300 for it not to need bedding and the current stock definatly isnt free floating and ive seen films of people making the stock bedded and free floating but it involvs alot of cutting away and making sticky mess. Ive read that jewel are the best triggers but again comes down to cost, im not looking for match accuracy just good acuracy so i went for the mid-range trigger. there is a h&s stock on the airgun bbs site for £100 mate. snap it up for your remmy Quote Link to post
