mushroom 13,089
Again a brilliant read, but Wheres the pics this time?? What do you do different when hunting wolves??? (Greys I assume) What I mean is you usually run two dogs on coyotes and wolves not only having a formidable weight advantage but also masses more jaw power and oh yeah a pack do you still run two on them or do you trio em up or more? UphillDoc 278
tlewis-They have been around for years now. Moved in shortly after being reintroduced in Yellowstone. They are traveling b*****ds, and its a sure bet they will be over your way. We have a hunting season on them now, and they are found from the high mountain pine country clear down to the river bottom farmland. Where ever the deer and elk are...they are! I have a wolf tag, so if you see it again go ahead and kill it for me... mushroom-I will drop every dog I have (5) if I get in a spot to run at a single. I dont know how many dogs it will take to throw and hold one, but I know how many I will use... It may end badly, but I will give it a go at least once...couldnt stand the thought of having had the chance, and never taken it. Im sure Dan will post some pics. Take care. Quote Link to post

The outcome of an encounter with 'Yote dogs will probably depend on if you run into a single or a pack. Good luck. Hope you don't get wiped out!!!! If you have 500 Elk around I'll bet the calf crop will suffer badly. Got room for one old passenger one of these days? Quote Link to post
