CRB = Criminal Records Bureau

PNC = Police National Computer

crb is available to most people who suscribe ( employers etc.)

pnc is available only to the police.

a minor motoring conviction will not or may not appear on the crb but will on the pnc.

cheers

I don't even think they do a CRB check. The CRB is a civillian thing and the cops have everything about you on the PNC anyway. The PNC doesn't hold info on you unless you have come to the attention of the cops so it won't tell them about your employment or benefit situiation.

I do know that once you have it then a PNC check will show you as such. So, if you get your car number plate run through it then it will show that you have an FAC/SGC.

From what I know of people in the job, there are a few different types of PNC checks.

You have your Personal record, which tells them what you are known to police for and you have a record for your vehicle but your vehicle record is not unique to you, it can be changed and is relevant to whoever is the keeper of the car at that time.

If you have never come to light with Police before, then they won't find anything.
