flyboy 11
hello huntmad and freshearth, after that happenend i tryed that approach with the missus and there was not a hope of me ever getting them into the house cause she just does not like dogs at all and freshearth as for gettin dog like a rotty or alsasion less of a chance that ever happening ,but when i think back i was full sure that my three dogs would wake the whole neighbourhood ,more fool me , so am really happy with the censor alarm even if it wakes me during the night because of a stupid cat ,thanks . FightTheBan 1,147
I am currently looking for a stolen terrier. Its times like this you wish you had better security etc. It is not nice, and wouldnt wish it upon anyone. Anything that helps prevent this happening can only be money well spent. All the best FTB Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
Once they know where you live i dont feel security will stop them. The best defence against the scum dog thief travellers and their ilk is remaining out of their radar... Dont have anything to do with them, dont have anything to do with people who associate with them....thats your best chance of keeping your dogs..... Good Luck....JD Quote Link to post

Helen 2
A few have been stolen near me, I think people notice running dogs I've been out with my Hound in another town and someone came up recognised him and knew exactly where I lived. I don't even like him going out in the garden on his own. What are you supposed to do to keep them safe. Quote Link to post

Helen 2
Do you think a guard dog would always help, I'm not so sure, you can trick a dog one way or another. Quote Link to post
flyboy 11
hello j darcey ,i agree with what your sayin but i think its to late for me cause i live only a minute from the site and they already know where i live but havin said that i NEVER EVER walk my dog around my area ,i drive to a remote country road about eight miles away, the censor alarm often went off five times in one night because one angle that one pir cencor is pointing at ,but i would never moan about it cause i know what that feelin is like to go the yard and all your traINING and time spent on rearing them from pups is gone thanks. longdog13 36
Do you think a guard dog would always help, I'm not so sure, you can trick a dog one way or another. Yes i do. the point is the dog is a physical deterrent, as well as an early warning device. Just like having an alarm, but with a sharp end Quote Link to post
