Meerihunter 7
Hi Folks, As the topic title and description says my AA410 is loosing all pressure over a day or so, can anyone suggest anywhere reliable that I get it sorted and a good service? Regards Mark Quote Link to post
Grim Reaper 1
Hi Mark, If you feel confident enough with your abilities, then may I make a few suggestions for you to check out before you opt for sending it for service (which is something I feel you may not be needing at this point in time? Before you attempt to follow these suggestions, make sure the cylinder/reservoir is empty of air first - a safe cylinder/reservoir is an empty one, yeah? 1. Try to see if the filling valve at the front end of the reservoir is as tight as can be - this is one of the most likely causes for pressure loss). 2. Check the rubber 'O' ring between the air filling valve assembly and the reservoir is intact - replace it if in any doubt, and re-tighten the filling valve assembly to the reservoir again. 3. Check the reservoir's rubber 'O' ring (which is found right at the rear end of the reservoir - where it screws into the firing valve assembly) is intact - replace if in any doubt. re-tighten the reservoir to the firing valve assembly by screwing it fully back into the end of the firing valve assembly. These are about the most common pressure loss faults that can occur. I would say that if any of these are not the cause of your pressure loss (ie, it still loses pressure after you have checked them all out), then is the time to consider sending the air rifle to Air Arms for them to have a fully detailed break down of it and cure the problem once they find the cause. I hope this helps you? All the best, Grim. Quote Link to post
Meerihunter 7
Thanks Grim, I've checked over what you mentioned and there is nothing obvious that I can see although I did tighten up the filling valve a bit more than it was so perhaps that could be the problem time wil tell I guess. Thanks again for your help and a happy new year to you. Mark Quote Link to post
