Ali N 0
should we be trying a pheasant shoot with this weather. It would be a walk round with a few mates and some dogs. Ground is in deeside and teh snow is probably a bout a foot deep now out in the open. Just wondering should we leave them in piece and just feed them and get them once the snow goes or at least thaws a bitty. thoughts greatly appreciated.
country-kid 2
shouldnt matter just means they sit a bit tighter so you need to go slowly and work the dogs well to flush!
Shoot 0
Go for it, they will sit tight and it'll be good work for the dogs. It's a good crack ... a walking shoot in the snow
Beef 2
Nae very far from you Ali and we have cancelled this weekends shooting over two spots. Apart from the going being pretty tough I personally think it is a bit hard on the birds as well. Everything is relying on us to keep them alive and I must admit that for some reason I don't see it as very sporting. Have decided to try and have a go nearer the end of the season.
