Big bald beautiful 1,231 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Share Posted January 4, 2010 saw some of his early stuff run, john leathem the greyhound trainer gave hancock a few coursing greyhounds and got two dogs in return, my uncle had a rough deerhound looking dog from john and the other went to a mate in goole, a smooth coated merle dog. i saw it run deer, hares and fox and was sadly killed by a coppers car when out coursing. im sure more of his earlyer stuff was worked harder before the show pet homes started buying them. boyo 1,398 Posted January 6, 2010 Report Share Posted January 6, 2010 bought a beardie xborder xgreyhound of him in late seventies black rough coated bitch very obediant and superb jumper ended up abot 24 tts didnt miss a lot on the lamp rabbits or hares very very clever no world beater but good at what she did the point is with the amount he breeds he is bound to have good bad superb and indifferant but how much of that is put in to them after they go to their new homes imo the man is a easy target about 2 yrs ago a freind of mine bought a straight cross of him and gave it away because it was to timid my other mate who he gave it to had more patience and it has ended up a good dog on the lamp and in the day running on the hill with terriers the point ime trying to make is my mate who owns it now hadnt had the patience that would have been another hancock dog written of and the man slagged of when a lot of the time its the people who buy them are the tossers not the man himself .
