Get your vet to give you a prescription for canuaral. If it keeps reacuring then you need to syringe the ears, with warm water (flushing) any good vet will teach you how to do this. I have a bitch that gets ear infections a lot due to her twin bro licking her ears all the time, the first signs are that she starts knawing on her paws. ATB Doug Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
It's got nothing at all to do with his ear shape: I've had Saluki types with big floppy ears that turn inside out all the time for years and years and not one has ever had an ear infection. More likely to be either an environmental issue: dust/straw mites in bedding, not cleaned often enough (the bedding I mean. Not accusing just asking) Incorrect diet can also play a part in recurring infections: dog's immune system compromised by something lacking in its diet. If a vet charged you for a prescription for anything from Johnsons then they should be struck off: absolute rubbish stuff as has already been said. And I agree: go to a different vet and get some Canaural drops: they are the best. Quote Link to post
chriselvis5 0
I cant be his bedding he sleeps in the house, spends more time in bed than me the lazy twit. and i thought his diet was ok hes on butchers dog meat and biscuts with a handful of proplan in his meals, the vet did charge me for it £18 that trip a checkover and the drops....chris Quote Link to post
natter79 17
last year me terrier got an ear infection and the vet said it was an allergy and could re-occur, she gave me some Canaural drops and a course of anti biotics and the dog's been champion ever since. atb natter Quote Link to post
