davyt63 1,845
Nice footage there Davy pal , What was interesting was that there was no hold over required from 25 yards out to 39 yards with the .177 calibre. Thats a really handy thing to have in the field. With my .22's there would of been a great difference in hold over ranging from .5 of a mil dot hold under to 2 mil dots hold over on x10 mag. I bet whacking them 40 yarders is really easy with no wind. I can see why the calibre is so popular. Si hi zini yeh any thing under 20yds then im using mildots, and from 40yds+ mildots.as you know nothing is easy! when your considering P.O.I and a clean kill.but you do make using a .22 look easy! i'll leave the .22 scopecam to you,as you seem to do it so well! even beyond recomended ranges! plus me tinks! that you will explain hold under/over better than i could in .22 thanks for the comments! and have a P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR! regards davy Nice post Davy.... Interested in seeing it "at work" properly Darryl hi darryl yeh got it sorted today and its nice n ridgid now!( keep it clean! ) butunfortunately no footage today,as the action started after i took the handycam off P.S. HAPPY NEW YEAR regards davy good stuff davy is it fac or is the trajectory just as flat in sub 12ftlb .177 also what it like taking shots stood up at 30 yards is it balanced ok etc atb kev hi kev yes its a 12ftlb .177, taking shots standing is not my strong point ,so wont be trying it just yet. as have to repect the quarry, dont want injured bunny's all over me permission and yes it is balanced well really, being a vertical, mineral, application, engineer. my arms are like popeye's so no problem with balance! regards davy P.S HAPPY NEW YEAR! Looking good Davy just the odd niggle to sort out & the jobs a good'un .Make sure it's ready for the summer for when your dishing the lead earings out up Weardale hi andy yes the niggle is sorted! and will be looking forward to meeting up with you in the summer! in weardale. regards davy P.S. kev1986 0
cheers davy happy new year to you mate after seeing them videos mate i have been looking at the trajectory on chair gun pro and i think i might be looking at a .177 for my next rifle as most of my shooting is from standing shots etc so the holdover and under is harder to judge and keep still were as 177 put cross on up to 40yrds and it going down mmm interesting atb kev Quote Link to post
