Irish Lurcher 1,013
Think this was done before. Just been reading a very fiery thread on another site re coppers been allowed on hunting sites. I can only assume that we have coppers on here and that I don’t have a problem with, but I am sure that other members do. Whats the difference with a copper joining a hunting site and him sitting back at the station viewing this site as I am sure they can, as proven by whin. Surely there must be benefits to having coppers who partake in our sport on our side??

dafydd thomas 13
maybe we need more coppers to start hunting for them to see thats its no a cruel and barbaric sport as described as by many miss informed tossers! and to see that most hunters are hard working law obiding tax paying citizens, but then again i could be wrong what you reckon? JohnGalway 1,043
Tread very carefully would be my advice. If I were doing something I (legally) shouldn't be then you can be 100% sure I wouldn't be knowingly (I think that's important) sharing that info with a representative of law enforcement. They don't make the law so I'm not altogether sure how much of a benefit they'd be. I remember a TV interview with a Garda over here, she said they're never really off duty. I know a few cops a long time, could go to them if I ever got in trouble like. Would I mention in passing conversation the many ways I may or may not have broken the law that day? Would I fcuk. higgins 75
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Well said Bulldoug,i am involved on the other site and trying to say no to coppers on hunting forums, the bottom line is if they enjoy hunting get out of the force and join the hunting community proper, you can't be half in and half out,in a bit Bulldoug your words will be meaningless,we might as well start letting RSPCA officers on if they hunt,or even antis on if they 'hunt' also, what's next, the LACS if they tell us they do a bit of hunting too! flint67 2
if you ban the old bill from here . . .well first off how would you do that?? . .but anyway , if you do ban the police what exactly are you saying? That this is a site which not only tolerates criminals but actively protects them !!! Not the best image. Where do you draw the line? Arent solicitors , barristers , qc s , magistrates and judges all duty bound to report a crime if they suspect one has been committed? What about farmers and landowners who it would seem are the mortal enemies of some on this site? What about all the hunters who hunt within the law and dont agree with those who dont? You could ban them all in case it interferes with someones life of crime .
