Hello all, i am in the process of buying my first lurcher and have been offered either a first cross Collie Greyhound or a first cross Beddy Greyhound.

 

Your oppinions and pictures would be much appreciated, thanks alot all.

If thats the breed your looking then a 1/2 dog would be your best bet

collie crosses are esy trained and easily upset the terrier cross is easier to enter and are tough little dogs which forgive handling mistakes.

 

given that i will always have collie crosses they suit me. my son has a saluki longdog and he is a fine animal but a difficult breed to train and better at certain jobs than others.

 

its horses for courses and i wish you well and enjoy your dog

id go for the collie x far better dogs to train and if you get the right 1 it will work anything atb

Although two of the best lurchers i have owned have been a mixture of both crosses put together i.e grey/beddy/grey/collie whos ofspring were far better dogs than their f1x sire and dam
