silentshot1 206
Just thought I'd let you all know that my wife bought me a AA S410 TDR .22 for Christmas and I picked it up today. Honestly can't believe it, I was really happy with my HW77k. I hadn't expected this. I know not everyone likes them due to their utilitarian looks and 45 - 50 shot capacity, but this nearly new example came in at a very reasonable £420 including Simmons classic 3.5 - 10 x 50 scope. As for the shot count, after zeroing I rarely fire more than 30 shots when I'm out, so shouldn't be a big deal. I'm going to have a go with it tomorrow and I'll let you all know how I get on! I'm F**king delighted! Quote Link to post
sibaldib 6
So you should be. I think they're a cracking rifle and you got a decent scope with it for a very good price. Finally, what a lovely wife to buy you a present like that. It has the S4*0 internals so will be super accurate. Always fancied one myself, but the price has put me off a bit. Hope you get on well with it and keep us up to date on your exploits. Cheers Sib Quote Link to post
Portland_Jon 0
I will keep mine forever, I paid £325 for it in as new condition and it fits me perfectly. It is just so accurate and come up on target so easily. I have made a new filler cap with an extended narrower section about 30mm long that I clamp my lamp onto and it's a much better place to mount a lamp than on top of the scope. It is not pellet fussy either and it my first choice when going out hunting. I'll be using it against the rats tomorrow at a local smallholding. Jon Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
I know how you feel, SS. I'd used springers for the past 30 odd years and had little to do with PCP's since the first ones came out 20 or so years back. Had a play with some modern ones last summer and treat myself to a 410c. Wow... Enough said... Cheers. Quote Link to post
