Deben mk3 Terrier locator (long range)

Hello all needed a new locator because my mk1's are starting to play up, i had ordered a bellman and flint but the missus starting twisting so i have since cancelled and bought a mk3 long range one off a lad on here, i havent recieved yet but just wanted to hear your opinions about the locator

I use the mk3 ferret finder, and rate it highly. Cant comment on the long range terrier finder, but it shoud be spot on.

I would take peoples comments with a pinch of salt, as some dont rate the MK3 highly.

my mate used them for a few years now swears by it.me i never realy trusted it but mine wasnt the long range type.he never lost any dogs touch wood.hope this helps a wee bit

From what ive seen ,the deben is fine for leading you to the area but its the fine tuning that needs to be mastered as you can be way off .Same as any system ,practice Swore by deben for years until a major let down .All i will say is that weve had a few collars go quiet in use .Not what you want and down to bad battery connections .The bellman is ,in my opinion the way forward and is the best on the market that i know of not having used the ortovox mind .

There are a couple of good videos on utube that really helped me learn how to use it. The instructions that come with them are useless.

Always found them reliable , and i've had some big digs on racoon in the sides of river beds !!!
