I have a 11 month old greyhound out of Droopys kewell and wanted to know what i should be doing with him now or when should he be started into training . This is my first greyhound .

if its a dog pup not a lot a bitch i used to start at about 16 to 18 months dog pups about 20 to 24 depending on the pup.while at about 11 months old i used to let them chase a few bunnies like a lurcher pup and also used a long pole with an old rabbit skin on too get them chasing also introduce them too a trap let them walk through it it saves a lot of time and patience later on

now mate i raced greyhounds for years i would start taking your dog to the track on trail days get him used to the enviroment ,people and the noise of the hare and let him watch the dogs run , dont give him any kills just take your time and let him find his own way ,get your self an old trap and put his food in it and get him used to going in leave the front open so he can get used to it . after a while close the front then close the door when hes in ,dont panic him take your time you got a good breed of dog there .
