Stuart O Connor 1
Just wondering how many rabbits would yea feed dogs a week and would yea skin and gut them 1st?? Would yea cook them or feed them raw and do yea think feeding rabbits give the dogs lots off worm proplems??? Id feed them about 2 a week if i have time id boil them with some veg but mainly raw skined and gutted ! Mixing them wit veg and red mills But i usually get mince and heart in the local butcher so i usually giv the rabbit to the ferrets Atb Stuart Edited December 29, 2009 by Stuart O Connor Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
Feed it as it was caught, feet, guts and all. Most larger Lurchers can eat a whole one every day. Then a day off (no food at all) so 6 a week if you can get them. That way you don't need to add veg etc. as their getting everything they need. Just remember to worm regularly. Quote Link to post
poacherman 353
bullmastiff are u off yer head. a would never feed any of my dogs full rabbits with guts in them. your dog would be riddled with worms. when am gutting ma rabbits i always make sure the dogs are locked up afore a start gutting them so they dont get near the guts. this site is gettin worse Quote Link to post

BULLDOUG 199
I freeze for a month and gut and skin all, but its said if you leave the fur on it acts as a natural wormer. Its a great meat to use when getting them season fit. Quote Link to post

If feeding cooked then remove the meat off the bone, (Cooked bones can be nasty). Quote Link to post
