They're one of the toughest trucks around, no wonder they're are the choice of terrorists and Gorilla fighters world wide,

did you ever see the Top Gear episode where they tried to wreck one??? they just couldn't kill it!

dropped it on top of caravans, threw it in the sea, and then set it on top of a block of flats and blew the flats up from underneath it. all they done was put oil in it and recconnected the battery. it actually drove to the studio. it would be my choice,,, if i could afford one :icon_redface:

worked for 7 years on on hong kong airport all the big companies had barge loads of brand new pajeros nissans ,tatas ,toyota, isuzu, hino, mitubishi along with taxis, private cars etc over 300,000 workers on site ,they only cars left running after 3 years max were toyota, isuzu, nissan.the problem was to keep the site roads dust down they sprayed sea water everywhere,my pajero was brand new and fell to bits,no 4wd,a water bottle in the cab as petrol tank(felloff)hardly any body panels left, sterring box welded allmost weekly, but the engine was fine, the same to the l200,and the mazda vans diesel only blew h.gasket ,i had about 15 dead ones in my yard, nissan vans were good.and tata well they lasted months only

I know a couple of people that have had them and reckon they are a good work horse, not great offroad due to there being no weight on the arse end and absolutely shite on fuel like most 4x4 though .Have you still got your Pajero Ian ? Still got mine got some nice new wheels and other bits on it since I bought it though ..........stainless steel exhaust didn't half improve the fuel consumption and gave more power too  ............
