silentshot1 206
Hi Guys I've just seen a AA S410 TDR in a local outdoor shop priced at £520, before this I wasn't considering a PCP but thought that was a bit of a bargain, down the rack, I saw an Armex X10 Avenger for £430, including Deben scope and silencer and fitted sling, I saw the same gun on Guntrader brand for £630. I know that Air Arms are considered to be great but not heard much about Armex. If I can get a good, brand new multi shot gun with a scope and silencer for £430, then awesome. the dealer is local and can be easily chased with a stick, should something go wrong. So the choice is either S410 TDR or Armex X10 Avenger, does anyone have an opinion between the two? Thanks and a belated Merry Christmas! Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
Hi, mate. I don't really know much about the Armex other than a test I read in one of the Airgun mags a year or so back. They said it was good value etc, but then they always do... You will never really read an honest test in the rags, as they are too scared to p*ss off the importer or whoever in case they lose advertiseing revenue.... I'm fairly new to PCP's as I've mainly shot springers for the past 30 odd years. I treated myself to a AA410c a few months ago after an invite to shoot with a few mates (thanks again, Davy!!) and had the chance to try a few modern PCP's. I had a go with HW100, BSA Ultra (I think it was an ulra?!) 400 and the 410. I went for the 410 as, for me, it just felt so right. I picked up the full kit, gun and all the chargeing gear nearly new for £450 and I'm well pleased with it! Good luck with whatever you go for. Cheers. Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
Thanks for that! I decided to go with the label for trusts sake and go with the s410 TDR. I found one nearly new in a gun shop down near Southampton. I got the gun, simmons scope and pump etc all for £600. Was going to pay closer to £900 for gun scope and charging stuff and got a decent warranty! Was the right price for me and am looking forward to having a plod with it tomorrow. My wife has asked me to remind the world what a truly wonderful person she is for buying this for me. I think the reality of me not being here for days on end appeals just as much! Quote Link to post
