Ferret and terrier collar

Are the transmitters on the collars of the terrier finders the same size as the ferret one. I have just ordered one but it said terrier finder. Am I going to end up with a transmitter that's too big for my ferret or is of just the size of the leather collar that varies?

Also can the mk 1 pick up more than one collar?

yea will pick up two collars to ground, not sure as to whether or not it does in regards to other models of collars. the terrier collar is much larger than the ferret one though

I know the collar is too big, I will cut it down. But is the actual transmitter unit that attatches to the collar too big?

the terrier transmitters i have are a lot bigger than the ferret locators and wouldnt recomend cutting down a terrier locator to fit a ferret...you will find that it will catch the net every time the ferret tries to pass under and will also be too bulky on a small jill...you can pick up collars for about 30 quid and there was a guy selling new ones for 35 but they were only 8 footers and he had a few call backs on the last batch...(think he was rushing to meet demand)up rhondda way...good luck with your search and keep in mind that if your going to buy new then the mk 3 collars will work fine with the mk 1 box...

Okay. I have big hobs anyway so I'm not bothered about transmitters getting caught up. So I can buy mk3 collars for a mk1 box?

Yes mate mk3 collars will work with a mk1 box

Cheers. Do the mk1 boxes go wrong alot and are they easy to repair.
