Dig this morning

Recommended Posts

Had a mate ring me to say that charlie was klling a bit round a pen they have and could i check the earths locally .Well the only place worth doing is an old sette and i mean old ,no sign of its previous occupants at all.Stinking of fox and a nice amount of padding too.Netted what we could and stopped the rest.Entered dog,a rough coated black bitch of 5 years old and a bitch i like to dig to. Stood back and listened .It was a good while before the baying started up as it covered roughly 50 square feet and a mark of 1.1 was got, away from trees ,ideal .There was a entrance just in front the dig that went in shallow and as we were at 1.1 ,i thought no more of it and anyway there was a net on it!

Got to the dog singing well and lifted her to find nothing .No need to question the dog as shes never let us down yet but something wasnt quite right .Dog in again and charlie flashed out the netted hole ,flipped it and ran .Not a net i set but no consilation mind .A further excavation revealed a vertical tube into the 1.1 level and joined to the shallow entrance !.Charlie had scrambled up here when the dog was lifted and bidded his time to bolt .You never stop learning in this game which is the reason i love it .Could of peppered his ass but never raised the gun .
