budgie123 163 Posted December 27, 2009 Report Share Posted December 27, 2009 Barf feeding is feeding bones and raw food which includes meat,bone,vegetables,fruit and supliments to achieve a fully balanced diet over time.Dr Ian Billinghurst an austalian vet has produced three books on the subject which are excellent and very comprehensive.Going into detail with regard what to feed and why.There is also aweb site www.drianbillinghurst.com.au The books are available from major high street book shops. There is no gimic with the books promiting some product or other just sound and accurate advice how to achieve a balanced diet over time feeding raw food you will have to source. The books have given me a far greater understanding of nutritional requirements of dogs. If you google barf there is some other good wed sites about the subject.
