ian118118 10
which way do you want it to adjust? because cudnt you just put loads of tin foil paper in the scope ring to make it work ?? or when it happened to me i had to take the scope mounts off and put them back on because when they shifted they moved my scope downwards, or you might of just buggered the glass in the scope ATB ian Quote Link to post
sibaldib 6
Start off by finding the mid point of the adjustment for both turrets. You do this by winding the adjustment all the way to one side (or up or down). Then wind it all the way back counting the number of complete turms and whatever else. Then divide that in half and wind back again in the reverse dirsection, that amount. That will give you the halfway setting. Do that on both adjustment turrets. Lay the scope in the bottom half of the mounts and bring the gun up to your normal mounting position. If the scope is looking where you think it should, carry on as normal, then adjust accordingly. If it is pointing too low then (as mentioned above) use some tin foil as a shim to raise the front. If the opposite, do the same on the back mount. Then attach the top mount halves and tighten up. Finally zero in and make the adjustments as normal, knowing you have maximum adjustment available in either direction. Hope this helps? Cheers Sib Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
If your scope wont move up anymore to meet your zero point you will probably find that you will have to pack your rear scope mount mate. All you do is 1. Take off your scope completely. 2. Cut 2 or 3 pieces of old camera negative film to the size of your rear mount. 3. Put the scope back on the mount resting on the negative on the rear mount. 4. Tighten the top covers on the mounts concentrating on the front mount first cross ways, followed by the rear mount, cross ways and that will sort your problem pal . Your scope will now have up/down adjustment Zini Edited December 27, 2009 by zini Quote Link to post

fry 209
i know of some one had same problem his silencer had been knocked out of line skimming the edge off pellets as they came out you could hear em making strange noise as they travelled through the air. Quote Link to post
wuzzy 0
deffo needs shimming on the back mount under the scope had it myself Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
if its the left and right adjustment usualy means the mounts arnt seated right or just no good, sometines sitching the front to the back or turning one or both around may get you close enough to allow a few winds to get a zero... (but if youve wound a turret too far to zero it will break the return sleave on the scope very quickly on a springer.. if its the silencer the simply look in the end there (unloaded because even a spec of grit/dust will take yu eye out a wee bit) if the pellerts are clipping you'll see it straight away, grey marking. sometine if you can turn the silencer/silencer mount you can twisle a touch if your lucky and the pellets will clear the hole...best get it sorted proper though. as said above, wound all the way in and count the clicks to all the way out, half it and wind in to 'center' the cross hairs, but...you'll need to know what the info on the scope said because some advise a liitle on one turret then a little on the other turret because the thing that moves to zero (prism or what ever) sometimes gets binsed at a weird angle, you'll know if thats happening bcause after a few shots the zero will change and stay there for a bit...it'll settle eventualy lol....(hense for large adjustments like centering some have o be moved half dosen clicks on one the half dozen on the other to keep the prism seated in its groove/slide run corectly.) up and down...could change the mounts, or get adjustable mounts, some adjustables are a pain and others are ok, cant offer info on which is which though sy.. or shim up with anything that wont crush easily, like cheap electrical tape crush's,desent tape doesnt, or you'll tighten up nicely, get a zero then the tape goes soft and ooo luverly yet another zero problem. old film negatives foil etc...do a google but read more than one acount because they all have a veiw on do's and donts, after a few you'll suss want you want and what you can do then you'll learn in use after.(everyone has to sooner or later). slight hint on Allen keys........use the long side in your hand to UNDO and use the short end to Tighten, if you confuse the two the long handles got plenty of leverage to actualy crush or deform your scope tube, the little end usualy stigg's yu thumb and hurts before then.
