Annmarie09 5
Great things if you need them, but let's face it, most folk don't. I had some on my 4x4, they were great cos I could rest two bales of hay (when they were small square bales!) on them to carry up to the horses without having to struggle up the hill with the wheelbarrow, I also used them to stand on when working on the engine as I am too short to reach otherwise. If you don't need them leave them off. They look great but they are lethal.

Lets face it these things aren't bolted onto big lumps of foam rubber, remove the bullbar and the discovery will still flatten anyone it hits.(you'll just have a dent in your bonnet)

Oh yes, i agree there, they will do more damage to your own vehicle than they save if you hit another vehicle.
ross16689 1
Bull bars are illegal apparently unless they have been fitted since before may 2008? I think it was! But I'd just put it on anyway, I'd like to see them prove otherwise! Just don't ask a mechanic to do it like I did!
chartpolski 24,451
I bought my Santa Fe in '54, and had a load of factory fitted extras fitted, (tow pack, side steps, dog guard, etc,), but when I asked for a bull bar or "A" bar, they said they were ilegal and couldn't fit them, yet I've seen pleanty of motors running around with them on ! Cheers.
