Why would CharlieC want to stir crap  Im not defending/attacking anyone, just wanted to know.

Keeping my bum firmly on the fence :rolleyes:

MOLL.

You can remove your bum now Molly lol , im not sure why someone would goto all the bother to stir up the crap they did. A few pm's this morning with CharlieC confirmed this for me that she surely was LOCKE. A wee birdy tells me this wasnt the first time either. She stated she has read my post on here, why she is still a member is beyond me. I hate trolls and liars.

I understand chiefs reactions to jump to the comclusions he has in the past on this and similar matters. He and others have been spot on in this occasion.

There is a current 6 pager with regard to boar hunting (on this very site)...plenty posters mention terriers doing a bit....not one single interjection from any members.. offering nail in coffin advice (not a "FFS" in sight). It would appear it is indeed might fine for folk to hunt things other than a fox with thier terrier.. so long as the prey appears to be seen to be a bit of a tough guy.

Why use a terrier 4 lamping it is a lurchers game, lurchers are more efficiant at the job though i dont doubt that terriers can't take 1 or 2 and it keeps em fit and occupied. Keep the terriers 4 ground work and a spot of daytime rabbiting if you ask me :)

Sound advice that Red..(for a 20 inch/27lb terrier).

In fact thinking about it i would struggle to find someone i personally know who would'nt answer "you paying my f****n council tax r ya".. if folk come over all previous with unrequested instructions. Must be why the types have grafitated to the internet.

Anyone care to answer Mr Bolios question...or is there a fee involved?

What a load of palava over such a petty thing  ... the lads using his terrier to catch rabbits on the lamp. Whats the fuss for? There is no written rule book lamping that states lamped quarry MUST be taken with a longdog / sighthound / lurcher. Agreed lurchers are more efficient and are built for running which makes them ideal, but the lads already explained he aint got a vast amount of experience or knowledge when it comes to hunting and lamping, nor did i when i first took an interest in the sport. There arent many people out there who would lamp with a terrier, i wouldnt, but that doesnt make it wrong and it certainly doesnt mean the lad is. At least hes out working the dog, caring for it and not causing trouble on the streets or sat infront of the computer 24/7.

Labradors where bred to retrieve game and when given the chance succesfuly do so.

But hold on theyre also used as guide dogs nower days!!! Assisting and helping to improve the quality of life of those with visual impairments!!! any objections???

agreeing with scouse moocher there ,

:):)

but doesnt anyone think this argument has gone on long enough , people say terriers were just bred for working foxes in earths , so why do they also use them for bushing ect , its horses for courses .

my pups are 1 week old and there 3/4 whippet 1/4 bedlington x JRT / border lakelands , does that mean i cant use my pups for any hunting at all , because i can saftly say there gonna make great rabbiters .. my whippet x * the mother of my pups* is only 18'' to shoulder but she is amazing on the lamp .. not many rabbits get away . but theres nothing writtain in stone saying a terrier cudnt have the same abilty to do my dogs job. or any 1 else's dogs ..

not meaning to rub anyone up the wrong way as were all hunters arnt we , what every quarry we hunt , what ever means we use , dogs , ferrets , hawks , were all in the same game .
