mike@NYorks 1
been taking my 12wk old beddy/grey/whip pup for short walks over the last few weeks (maybe 1/2 mile) but today i thought i would take the terrier also. pup grew in confidence following the older dog and ended up doing about 2 1/2 miles through the woods and fields. pup still had plenty of energy when we got home. just wondering if this is to much for a 12 week pup? your thoughts pls - mike Quote Link to post

border lad 1,047
in my opinion, it does them good, you are socialising, them, letting them sniff, and follow, there mate about, I have just reared a pup, he is 12 months, old, and I walked with him every day possible, and let him run, and hunt were possible, last sunday, hard frost 2" snow on the ground, he hunted up and flushed a roe, to my mates gun, in broad daylight, now this fellow is a very good shot, but some how he only wounded the Roe and the sapling tracked him, and done a good job, (( for me thats the proof of the pudding, your Pup, you can see for yourself, if the pup enjoys the walks or not, and that was all done single handed, Quote Link to post
