andyz 30
I've recently bought myself a Buck Alpha Hunter Folding - Gut Hook. Very very nice knife and very well made, only thing I would say is be carefull as it is really sharp. It can easily gut a rabbit without even trying. Lovely rosewood handle, well chuffed with it! masmiffy 82
Personally I would go for something fairly reasonably priced and not big, you dont want to lose an expensive knife! Would also go for a folding lock knife no more than 3" blade. Your talking rabbits not deer or big game!!!! Opinel are easy to sharpen and cheap but I dont really like the tip! Have a look here http://www.knifebargains.co.uk/ more knives than you can shake a stick at! You will be spoilt for choice! Edited December 29, 2009 by masmiffy Quote Link to post
kirk224 10
i have used a buck folding and i like them you do pay a bit but well worth it Quote Link to post
sibaldib 6
Opinel No8 if you want a folder and Mora if you want a fixed knife. Both easy to sharpen and keep clean. Only problem with Opinels is that the wood can swell if they get soaked and make it hard to open and close. Cheers Sib Quote Link to post
masmiffy 82
Another quick thought is one handed opening is sometimes an advantage! Quote Link to post

Cheers Sib Same here, always use the Opinel and for a few quid you can't go wrong as its more than up to the task. Quote Link to post
