hw100sniper 2
Zini I know your a very busy old man you having 37 year old kids but if you have time and you have a range to shoot could you put up a video of how the 2 rifles both perform on paper targets not to prove which is best but to prove how good both are. zini 1,939
Sniper, Yes i can do that pal but to be honest with you and not tell you any porkies, since i found the FX 16 grain pellets for them both they both shoot better than i can shoot them by far. I can tell you know that both will hit drawing pins pinned to a board at 30 lased metres one after another until the pins get pushed into the wood with no problems at all, and when im shooting well both with put 5 shots in a hole that will be covered by a 5p piece easily and thats in .22 calibre too. Out to 55 metres i have also taken head shots on woodies with them both. Some of the shots are on my DVD and on my other posts with links to Youtube. Either rifle i would class as a 10 out of 10 rifle and as good as a £1200 Daystate for accuracy and handling, but maybe the Daystate would take it on quality. To really see which is the better rifle between the 2 a far better shot than me would have to test them, but ill try. Ill do it for you after the New Year pal. hw100sniper 2
Cheers Zini and no hurry with the vid I already know how good the hw100 is and after watching you with the R10 I was just wanting you to show all the other guys on here that the daystates are not the be all and end all Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi lads i was going to comment on this earlier, but as it was for zini i waited to let him reply first. but basically its the shooter behind the trigger, you could have a low budget rifle against one of the above, and with an experienced shooter ( a marksman ) who's knows his ranges and hold under/over me tinks that he would get the same results! on both low budget and top budget, maybe in the summer we could have a shoot off between AA,HW,BSA,THEOBEN. all PCP's i did try to organize one last year ,but just to prove a point! that a low budget could achieve the same results on paper, as a S-TYPE but he declined! i wonder why! £400 V's £900 me tinks that he didnt want to know he could have only spent £400/500 lol sorry for going on, im on me 2nd bottle of wine merry christmas every one regards davy Quote Link to post
sibaldib 6
I had been thinking about getting a Weihrauch HW100KT or a Verminator in the New Year. I was put off the latter by Zini's bad experience and several others I read about on the internet. To be honest I had never considered a R10, but seeing it perform has made me sit up and take notice. The fact that it is regulated helps, although being a pump man. I'd probably top up every 30 or so shots. It seems to be one of the unsung heroes and never mentioned in the same breath as HWs, AAs and Daystates. Sib Quote Link to post
davyt63 1,845
hi sib BSA have been on the back burner for a while, due to bad reviews form peeps and it has a domino affect! i say try before you buy,i have had the pleasure of trying a R10 and it is a nice piece of kit, but if you would like to try out a HW100 all you have to do is PM me and come over and you can have a go all day if ya like! or join a club and there is bound to be some one with a R10 there and ask for a go! i did and was surprised regards davy Quote Link to post
hw100sniper 2
You have a very valid point Davy and I totally agree with you there are cheaper rifles again that can shoot just as well in the right hands but this was a chance to show that what I class in the mid-high price range pcp is just as good as the HIGH priced i.e. datstate ,anshultz etc Hope the wines going down well and all the best Billy Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Hi lads, Yes Davy has a very valid point about the price not really mattering. When i first met Reggaeman he had a SMK .177 springer that i had never seen before and was smashing out bulls at 30 metres in my indoor range no problems at all. If someone can shoot and use the correct techniques they get great results at the target end, thats a fact and is proven many, many times over. Sib, I would defo go for the HW100KT over the Verminator mate. You wont go wrong with a HW, and once you shoot it you will fall in love with it straight away guarenteed. Just ask Wuzzy pal he did with mine. I like the idea of a shoot off Davy thats a great idea infact mate. I reacon that a springer in the right persons hands will smash 90% of the PCP's on here on paper .22 or .177, especially at 30 metres and beyond. I may even get myself a new HW97K for this challenge and shoot a springer myself as i do love them rifles. Ive seen and also shot Festa's AA ProSport springer in .22 and that has beat a few PCP's in its time believe me. Zini Quote Link to post
