Bryan 1,362
if your getting a wide area withe the same number, turn the locator 90 degrees to the left or right and try again, this will often make it more sensitive to the strongest signal. the ortovox collar is better than the b+f for pinpointing as it's more sensitive, but with that the numbers are more jumpy to any movement at all Bryan Quote Link to post
sounder 9
this is where the barryvox is out on it own , the will pin point on number's and sound so the sound get's louder as you ove it for one side to the other , sounder Quote Link to post
dog fox 16
i use the barryvox with the bellman collar and find it bang on ,if the dog has pushed on a bit you can even turn the box sideways in the dig to find dog ,you only get about 20 secs before it tells you to hold horizontal but if your qiuck it works ,,i love it but the only problem is with it when i set it up it revertes back to send mode in about 4 mins whick can be fustrating a bit ,so one for bryan how do i change it so its on locate mode all the time ,i have read the mannual and you get 3 different options on this which are reverte back to send in 4 mins and in 8 mins and never ,its the never option i want it on but carnt for the life of me suss how to do it ,,,bryan please help me its doing my head in :11: apart from that its the mutts nuts mate ........... Nearly happened to us today but luckaly we got the dog in time. It is worse on steep banks the number of times we have missed the dog is stupid but as has been said it beats the old grey box. Rabbit Hunter 6,613
Like Butler has said we had a lucky escape today with the b*****d box reading down when the tube was in the side of the dig, we lost my black dog last season due to the shit pinpoint accuaracy, we broke through and could hear the dog further up the tube but when we got a reading it was saying 0.7 everywhere in the bottom of the dig, by the time we found the dog he had wedged himself in and suffocated himself and his quarry...
