lamping killed the lurcher

i recently started lamping with a freind of mine i went out with him and 1 of his bull x he got off a freind of his a couple of years ago his dog was quite good on the lamp ran straight down the beam and brought quarry back to hand and after a few times i took my blue merle out hes never seen a lamp before, but was on it in a flash iv,e only ever used him during the day but it did not take him long to get what lamp was all about .Then another day we went out during the day with the 2 dogs, his dog never went more than 6 feet away from him just stood there looking about as if it did not no what to do. where as my dog worked the ground trying to put something up .so what im trying to get at is it looks like this dog has been used for lamping mostly do you think this can spoil a lurcher..im old school when a lurcher was for long ears daytime it was the only

sounds to me like the dogs just sat in the kennell through the day and only taken out on the lamp, even if its out walking and sees at rabbit (daytime) its going to chase it click on and start working the cover

totally agree with you on that one how many lamping dogs do you see that the minute a bunny hits the cover they think its game over young dogs should be brought on mooching about in the day
