tined meat is crap get chicken mince tripe or beef mince might see a difrence with that stuff

try giving her abit more fat in her food not too much but mix it with her normal food.

Is she kennaled out side mate?

i had the same problem and after trying evry thing a friend of mine suggusted that it could be cold,

with the temp being realy cold they shiver at night that makes them use body fat up,

Hello pal, my mates dog suddenly began loosing weight but was still eating its usual food. When he took it to the vets it had a very serious illness. It pulled through ok with the right medication but in my oppinion mate its worth taking the dog to the vets.

if you can get to a slaughter house, ask for some pancreas, full of insulin, it will do the trick mate plus get a beast tripe

Tinned food is worse than useless for a working dog, and, (unless you are buying the cheapest tins available), you can get barf from the butchers for around the same cost as tinned food ! Get some lamb ribs, chicken carcases, etc into your dog and you'll see the difference; if not...take it to the vet for a check up.

i noticed that when a dog eats snow it seams to make them lose wait. ano it sounds daft. but make sure her water bowls always got some in so she has no reasons to eat snow as the drink alot more in this weather

It is hard to answer without a little more info;

how old?

what breeding?

was it worked by the previous owner?

was it fit or fat?

was it kenneled out before?

A picture would help so people coul see if it is underweight.

 

In general terms if you feed more calories than the dog uses it will gain weight and if less it will lose weight so in therory increasing calories or reducing output is all you need to do. Fat carries around twice the calories of protein or carbs so increase the fat content to increase input. Output is mainly keeping the body at the right temp so a warm kennel is a good start, then consider if a dog is unwell it will need more cals, if it's working hard again it will also need more.

I'd stick with the complete and leave the tinned stuff out, add a little extra fat or fatty meat, feed twice a day as one main meal and one smaller with a couple of tablespoons of veg oil added and lastly if any signs of illness then vets!

Tripe and fatty meat twice a day untill she is conditioned, then once a day. Commercial stuff no good for a working dog especially this winter. Best of luck
