has anyone ever had dave platts dogs and how have you rated them on all aspects including body and mind as well as work ?

owned two bitches 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhounds they gave you everything they had easy to train and very loyal dogs very good on roe and they took to foxes in no time at all .sadly one died after eating a poisond carcas .used its sister after that for a good 4 or 5 years after that she acounted for many deer and foxes single handed .only down side was her feet stubbed toes etc .in my experience a good breed.atb t.e.d.l

i know some one who got one he said its a really good dog takes everything that he puts it on and does not hold back

i have known dave and family for a longtime, the stuff he breeds is good, probably as good as any, a genuine guy, theres a pic of a dog he bred on the lurcher stud section of the WORKING DOGS FOR YOU site

always been interested in these dogs specially for fox pre ban bet they cen shift? probably a daft question how fast are they compared to a greyhound or average lurcher we used to use a pure greyhound on foxes preban and the dog got up to them in no time they dint stand much of a chance.

Judged a lurcher show at Ayre many years ago, some boys had put a three quarter bred deerhound x greyhound in where the time trails were going on for greyhounds, the three quarter bred got 3rd fastest time of the morning..

been told their feet are a bit of a let down knocked up broken toes etc any one any feed back on this?

Had one of Saxon a few years back opened up on rabbit at 14month held onto her till 18month still givin it loud gave it to an old couple just unlucky with it i think

This is my 3/4 greyhound 1/4 deerhound at about 12 months old

And this is Dave Platts 1/2 cross Willow Dam of my bitch and her sire is Dave Sleights nobbys lad both bitchs have great feet.
