My digging partner had one of his terriers confiscated around 4 months ago ,the dog was marked after some legal work but a nosey neighbour phoned the charity and one morning they arrived at his door with the scum and took all his digging gear terrier books etc He was not allowed access to the dog until after the court case.Last week his citation came through with a charge of failure to provide vetinary treatment for the dog,this was after the charity vet who inspected the dog admitting that the treatment he was giving it was good.Anyway now to get the dog back he has to pay them 8 pound per day kennel fees or sign the dog over,what a shower of shite ,there was nothing the matter with the dog and he never asked them to keep it for 4months . what do you lot think of that one. andri

Can any one explain how they can legaly do this? If they confiscate your dogs and your not guilty how can they then charge you for costs that you didnt want and shouldnt have occured? I dont understand it. Can the police do this? Do we as average joe blogs have any comeback?

I should have made in clearer mate,he is up on the end of january so not pled yet.His lawyer reckons there is a chance he will get done with it but is going to fight the case. atb andri

It doesn't mater if they haven't got a clue all they have to do is convince a magistrate that you're not a vet and you're in the shit, find you're self good vet or give up the terrier job. Speaking from experience.

I had the RSPCA at my door one day, the neighbour phoned to say id left a pet rat in a cage to drown????

 

The kids actually put my jack russells toy rat in a old indoor rabbit cage outside and it filled with water with the heavy rain, the idiot actually didnt believe me and went in the cage to make sure! then he said okay (he thought he was god, i wanted to gub him) , then i seen him walk to the neighbours house to tell them its a toy rat , the neighbours were new, but who the f**k would care about a dead rat???? f****n assholes!

had them at mine got told to see a vet all was clear evan tho there was no problems with them. she came back to inspect. nothing wrong so i got 6 dog wormers of her. then said thanks for a waisted trip. i told them to get the true people who dont look after there animals

If it isn't illegal or not braking any laws there will be a list of officers name and point of contact to follow from North of the Border !!

its bloody ridiculous, why dont they persecute old folk who have obese waddling pet dogs that can hardly walk? theres several in my street one is covered in tumours and lumps can hardly walk instead of harrassing working dog folk who by their very nature make sure their dogs lead active and healthy lifestyles!
