Born Hunter 17,751
Obviously going to a completely new home is traumatic for any pup so this is probably the cause. Once she settles she should start eating enthusiastically. Have you tried fresh minced beef? Once the pups eating, get it on a good barf diet.

Wild_and_Irish 11
Get it off that shite and into some raw meat, if you can't get your hands on any atleast get some high protein stuff and let the dog grow right, your dog will thank you for it.
higgins 75
After a few hours i'd be seriously worried for a pup,if the pup has not eaten yet then go to the vet,you need to find out why the pup isn't eating,in my experience pups will be hungry and eat almost anything, are there any other symptoms? Hannah4181 260
If she's picking at food and seems fine in herself, i wouldn't be worried. She may just be a fussy eater, try her with some raw turkey mince and see how she goes. As long as illness is ruled out by a vet, i would get tough, offer the food if she won't eat it then pick it up and offer again later. She'll eat when she's hungry enough. welshwizard 33
Hi there, I would not with respect go down the turkey mince route. I have lost pups through minced fowl. You could try coley and boiled rice, we use this when we have a sickly pup or adult, and it works well. A good working dog vet also told me that Chappie is one of the best foods you can give a fussy eater. Also Prize Choice Minced Lamb and Beef are good. Also tinned Tuna is a good thing to get them eating, all my dogs go mad for it. Regards, Dave.

allenyeates 3
Always found dogs go for heart (lamb, pork or beef) even when off their food. Roast it under foil ,chop it up and serve it to the pup with the juice\gravy that comes out of it. If the pup has the squits withhold the gravy. Just my method but works for me. All the best mate. mcass123 6
i had the same problems a few weeks ago and put a topic on for some advice and the info i got was amazing, the outcome was, the pup was just settling in, missing his mother and litter bros and sisters, he now eats everything i put down to him and he is thriving, i have him on raw meat, he gets raw beef, raw chicken wings and a day or two a week i give him a tin of dog food with some gusto puppy. i have been trying to miss out the tinned dog food and replace it with a tin of tuna or sardines. try gusto puppy with a tin of sardines mixed in with it or get it onto a raw diet, look up the barf diet and see what you think of it. p.m me your email address if you want and i will email you what i am givin my pup stick with it mate, i know how you feel, you will get there all the best buddy mcass
