rjimmer 4
Now that Advantage Wetlands cammo stuff doesn't seem to be available any more, did the MoD ever issue anything in desert cammo that was waterproof? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8422942.stm
Reabrook 6
The current desert uniform also comes in a waterproof gortex version. Have a look on http://www.silvermans.co.uk/Products/tabid/54/Department/Military/Category/JACKETS+++SMOCKS/id/1/Text/80/Default.aspx Be aware though they are not reknowned for being the cheapest

Redleg22 2
They may get cheaper now that the British Army has phased them out - see today's news abpout the new multi-terrain camo that is replacing both the old forest and desert patterns. But for wildfowling over here, the Mossy Oak Shadow Grass was always a better pattern than the Real Tree Wetlands which tended to have too bold a pattern. Mark you, after a few morning flights in the mud, it doesn't matter much!
rjimmer 4
Cheers, Eric I was looking for replacement for my Advantage Wetlands jacket that I got form FieldandForces and was made by Wearite. I visited the Wearite shop, only to find that they no longer do that pattern and their current camo jackets don't look tough enough. American/Canadian stuff like Whitewater and Sportchief do not have a drip strip to stop water wicking up the inside. It's been suggested to me that they are made for cold, dry weather and not cold, wet weather. Edited December 22, 2009 by rjimmer
