Guest DogFaceKillah
i had a bull x bitch that contracted an infection after pups, and was a bag of shite months afterwards, wobbling back after runs, really tired and unfit, a good steady diet with a decebt protien and carbs will bring her back round just do not rush her, short runs short nights, making them longer fornightly! eventally she will be back to normal Quote Link to post
Hannah4181 260
As has been suggested, pregnancy, followed by an infection and a spay, will take a lot out of the bitch. I would suggest a high quality diet, keep her ticking over fitness wise, but maybe a complete rest from hunting. Imo it will do her more harm missing quarry than not running at all, get her 110% fit and healthy and then get her back to it slowly, the rest and break may just re ignite the spark. I'm by no means an expert but thats what i'd do in the same position. Edited December 21, 2009 by Hannah4181 Quote Link to post

skycat 6,173
Did you build her up slowly with plenty of daily road walking then trotting beside a bike or you jogging before you started actually running her? Also, she may be carrying an injury somewhere: trapped nerve or something. Best to get her checked over by a good back man or greyhound vet. Quote Link to post
